Job Description
We currently have a exceptional opportunity for a passionate and experienced distribution professional to join our team at Minor Hotels as Director of Distribution.
This pivotal position will see you responsible for the performance and strategic direction of Minor Hotels distribution operations across Australia and New Zealand. As an integral member of the Commercial function, you will lead a dynamic team, focusing on developing and maintaining distribution systems, while maximising opportunities with key accounts.
Key Responsibilities Include:

• Lead a team of Distribution professionals, providing guidance, coaching and mentoring
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to streamline distribution operations and optimise efficiencies across all properties in the region
• Maintain connectivity with channel manager and key suppliers to drive continual improvement and work closely with global teams to harmonise systems and maximise efficiencies across the group
• Maintain strong relationships with distribution partners such as online travel agents (OTAs), Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and direct booking channels to drive opportunities in the region
• Manage the distribution OPEX budget ensuring that all expenses are accounted for
• Manage OTA and GDS advertising campaigns and preferred placement subscriptions to maximise exposures and production through these channels at an acceptable ROI
• Work closely with the wider Commercial team, including the revenue, reservations, sales and marketing teams and make recommendations on strategies to implement on various channels to improve performance
• Maintain contents of property listings on distribution platforms to ensure correct and up-to-date information is reflected to improve visibility and conversion.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will require the following:

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a hotel distribution, senior reservations, or revenue role with a demonstrated history of performance and capacity for further growth.
• Strong understanding of Distribution systems, key partners and platforms, with knowledge of emerging trends and challenges in the industry.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence key stakeholders
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team
• Proficiency in analysing & interpreting data to drive business decision making and ensure data quality
• Experience in a centralised hotel operating environment would be highly regarded.
• Systems knowledge in SiteMinder, SynXis, OTA Extranets, Opera Cloud, Excel and Power BI will be highly regarded.
