About the Employer:  Local Council providing a range of services and facilities to our small community including community housing, education facilities, aged care facility, parks, land and sea management, natural resource management, essential services, our parks and roads.   
   
Objectively:  Reporting directly to our CEO. Overseeing and providing leadership to our Environment & Sustainability team. 

• Ø Land and Sea Rangers
• Ø Local Laws
• Ø Environmental Health
• Ø Animal Control Officer
• Ø Essential Services Officers
• Ø Parks & Gardens Officers

Additionally functions of this key role includes OHS, Job schedules, legislation, governance, reports, budgets, policies, some HR and compliance.      

• Essentially Offering: 
• Formal qualification in Environment Science, Environmental Health or Project Management
• Relevant Employment History 
• To be sensitive of indigenous people and their cultures  
• Sound knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations, Local Laws and Policies and how they work together in administering Local Laws in the community;
• Sound knowledge and understanding of notices and correspondence;
• Sound knowledge of human behaviour in a regulatory environment.
• Drivers License
