About the role:
As the Director of Operations, you will lead our in home aged care services and support services for unpaid carers. You will also lead a Support Centre that assist Benevolent Society clients nationally and provides information services through the national Disability Gateway.
The Benevolent Society is entered a significant period of growth in home care services for older people as part of our long term strategy to be a comprehensive provider of services to local communities. This follows a significant investment in new technology to enable new ways of working. Reporting to the Executive Director, Disability, Ageing and Carers, this role leads all aspects of operational delivery and implementing the strategic priorities of the organisation in your portfolio areas. You will have responsibility for growth and financial performance, client outcomes, employee engagement, compliance and risk management, and service and business excellence.
About You:
The successful candidate will have a passion for building high quality services and extending the reach and impact of the Benevolent Society. You will have a strong focus on client experience and outcomes, quality processes and systems and the commercial aspects of delivering consumer directed services.
To succeed in this role you will have strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication skills, commercial acumen and track record of leading teams through change. You will have a strong understanding of quality and safeguarding systems, including the ability to evolve systems to operate at scale. You will have a track record of working with others to build service models and achieve strategic goals.

You will have a record of accomplishment at a senior management level and:
- Drive to innovate and develop agile, client focused service delivery models underpinned by practice excellence
- Commercial acumen, particularly to drive growth
- Proven ability to build meaningful and productive relationships and collaborations with both internal stakeholders and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to lead and engage teams to delivery client focused services
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and move between operational and strategic priorities.
- A high-level of integrity and strong outcomes focus
