We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Operations to lead and manage our Operations Department. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and effective service delivery and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities include providing strategic advice, managing departmental finances and assets, and leading the department’s human resources with a focus on workplace safety. Additionally, the successful candidate will oversee the department’s customer service initiatives to maintain high standards of service and contribute to the overall direction and management of the organisation as a member of the executive leadership team.
The ideal candidate will lead the Operations team, focusing on providing high-level strategic advice to the General Manager, Council, management, staff, customers, and stakeholders. You will develop and implement the department’s strategic, delivery, and operational plans while ensuring consistent monitoring and reporting on progress.
Candidates should possess extensive experience in asset and contract management, a proven track record in managing significant capital projects, and broad experience in overseeing engineering services across various disciplines. Additionally, they should have senior-level management experience that demonstrates their ability to effectively lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams, exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related field are also required.
