We are actively seeking a permanent full-time Director - Partnerships and Programs to lead the management and coordination of two portfolios (First Nations and Early Childhood) to ensure differentiated delivery of services and Programs to support children, students, families, and communities across the region. The Director, Partnerships and Programs reports to the Executive Director, Regional Operations, Nominated Region, Early Childhood and State Schools. The base location for this position can be negotiated between Maroochydore, Maryborough and Bundaberg Regional Offices.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Promote inclusive and accessible learning environments and settings that drives equity and excellence across the region through the provision of advice to regional staff regarding effective cultural capability development.
- Ensure the continuous improvement of service delivery by monitoring the performance and capability of staff and develop and implement strategies to strengthen knowledge, business systems and team performance to meet organisational and client needs.
- Value First Nations cultures and voice both within the Department and across agencies to ensure authentic First Nations engagement.
- Actively promote the importance of the early years to all stakeholders.
- Prioritise the participation and engagement of all children and students in development and learning pathways, that lead to successful educational outcomes and realises the potential of every First Nations state school student.
- Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with local communities, sector representatives and internal and external stakeholders to promote effective services and Programs.
- Provide and oversee provision of high-level advice on complex and sensitive matters including correspondence, briefings and reports to the Regional Director, or nominee, as well as other executive management in an environment of tight deadlines, competing priorities and high-level demands.
- Develop and maintain effective communication networks within the department and across agencies in relation to identifying and developing a proactive response to emergent and contentious issues.
- Develop and maintain systems for analysis, monitoring and information sharing on performance trends and outputs ensuring services and Programs are responsive to the needs of children, students, families and communities.
