The Director will lead the renewal of the expanded and inter-agency Wraparound support program for victim-survivors of Sexual Violence. This will include chairing Wraparound meetings, working collaboratively with partner agencies to facilitate active participation in Wraparound and supporting holistic and best-practice justice and social service responses to Sexual Violence, and monitoring and developing Wraparound procedures and reporting processes.
The Director will also lead a team of Sexual Violence Advocates who will assist victim-survivors to navigate their support and justice options in line with Recommendation 3(b) of the ‘Listen. Take Action to Prevent, Believe and Heal’ Report (the Report); lead the delivery of the ACT’s Sexual Assault Legal Service Pilot in conjunction with the Women’s Legal Centre ACT (WLC); and lead VSACT’s contribution to the implementation of recommendations arising from the Sexual Assault (Police) Review program (the SAPR Review), established in response to recommendation 15 of the Report.
This is a challenging role which requires significant experience providing support and advocacy for victim-survivors.
