The Community Services Directorate's (CSD's) Ministerial and Government Services team is seeking expression of interest for the position of Directorate Liaison Officer (DLO), for a period of approximately 12 months from March 2024.
The DLO is a critically important role as the conduit for the directorate in the Ministers Office. The DLOs are CSD’s representative and first point of contact within a ministerial office. The DLO performs a range of functions intended to provide a comprehensive and responsive service to a minister and their office, the Director-General, and CSD.
This role provides support for the Minister for Homelessness and Housing Services and is located in the Legislative Assembly. The successful applicant will have significant contact with directorate officers, requiring a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality, as well as a highly responsive approach in responding to tight deadlines.

Notes: This is a temporary position available from March 2024 for a period of approximately 12 months. The role includes a DLO Allowance, which is 7% of the fortnightly rate of pay for the employee’s classification calculated on ordinary hours worked in that fortnight, paid fortnightly in arrears. It is not paid during leave and does not count as salary, except for super.
A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill both short-term and long-term vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
