Base salary range of $119,757 - $132,188 p.a plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role
The Directories and Messaging Security Engineer is responsible for overseeing operational and technical aspects of TAFE’s multi-domain enterprise directory and Messaging infrastructure platforms and evaluating vulnerability management to assist with security operations. This includes maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary. The position works broadly and collaboratively with other Security Engineers and specialists and has an afterhours on call requirement to meet business needs.
We have 1 x permanent position available with negotiable location within NSW and flexible work arrangements available.
About You
We are seeking an experienced IT professional, with robust Directory, Identity and Access Management (IAM) skills, solid Email cyber security knowledge and demonstrated ability to resolve problems in a large-scale complex organisation.
The ideal candidate will have:
Degree in relevant discipline, relevant industry certification or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
Experience in designing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions including Implementation, Configuration, Development, Deployment; administration and Operations of Single Sign-on/Federation, Access provisioning, Application integration, Privileged access, Role-Based Access Control, and related security setup.
Demonstrable working experience in building and implementing Microsoft solutions based around Active Directory, Azure IaaS and PaaS, along with equivalent in on premise solutions.
Significant experience in Directories and Messaging Engineering roles within a large organisation with complex technology systems or similar.
Demonstrated experience applying information security and/or cyber security principles and concepts.
High-level communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills in order to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on system security related issues affecting end users and provide solutions to minimise service disruption.
Willingness and ability to work on-call afterhours to meet operational requirements.
A proven ability to work effectively with a geographically dispersed team of technical professionals.
An ability to manage conflicting and/or concurrent upgrade, and/or refresh projects and programs while maintaining strong systems security and protections.
An ability to manage and co-ordinate multiple streams of work and priorities.
Solid logical and technical skills including the ability to think creatively in order to provide expert advice on a range of project related issues and strategies.
Highly Regarded
Experience and knowledge of the ACSC Essential 8 framework and maturity levels.
