Client Overview

2XM Recruit is proud to be partnering with the NSW Government based in Sydney. Our client is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Network Security Engineer who is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing routine installations of ICT hardware in virtualised and cloud environments, ensuring adherence to industry standards for compatibility, security, and sustainability. Also provides technical and business impact assessments for delivery projects in complex network environments, including legacy and digital systems, within a high availability service environment.

Key Accountabilities:

• Implement CISO security policies and guidelines effectively.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions adhering to current network standards to support organisational security policies.
• Evaluate solution performance within the current environment, monitoring system and service performance for business contribution, security, and sustainability.
• Complete installations on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards to minimise operational and project risks.
• Utilise infrastructure management tools for automated provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring, ensuring optimal performance.
• Conduct thorough testing of hardware and software components, resolve defects, record results, and ensure smooth implementation following organisational standards.
• Maintain updated configuration management records and comprehensive documentation of end-user technology to meet present and future infrastructure engineering needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience in dealing with CISO and security operations in government.
• Experience in the implementation of Network Security policies.
