The Student Life division provides support services and programs that contribute to the student experience and success, including in the areas of health, counselling, disability services, orientation and transition, retention, student wellbeing, and student engagement through the activities of the Flinders University Student AssociationAbout the RoleFlinders University is seeking a dedicated Disability Advisor to work alongside the to support students and prospective students with disabilities to engage and participate equitably in studies and University life. In this rewarding position, you will assess learning impacts to determine and monitor reasonable adjustments, in collaboration with relevant professional and academic staff.You will also be responsible for:
- Providing advice, guidance, and information to professional and academic University staff regarding legislative requirements and obligations and how these may be met.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of disability-related policies and action plans within the University.
- Designing, delivering and evaluation of training, workshops and programs to students and staff that focus on disability awareness, access, and inclusion.
- Experience in producing written information, reports, and presentations for a range of audiences.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing.
