This ward has a great support team including on team educational support, dedicated NUM and experienced nurses who are ready to train nurses looking to become a part of this highly rewarding area.You will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and care for a diverse patient base. You will deal with a range of complex cases and refine your skills in the Rehabilitation and Geriatric space.Brining your excellent communication skills to the ward, you will be a strong negotiator who can calmly influence families and patients to ensure the provision of safe, quality care with positive patient outcomes.This is a rare opportunity to join Fairfield Hospital which provides a flexible, 24/7 roster including 10 hour nights. To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Current Authority to Practice as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent experience as an Enrolled Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
