What will you be doing?
- You will provide quality support to our participants in the community and their homes.
- Promoting participants choice and control in their daily activities.
- Following behaviour support plans to support participants live more independently.
- Driving participants to community events, Dr appointments, shopping etc.
- Assisting our participants to achieve their goals in their NDIS plans.
- Assisting our participants with light household cleaning and personal care.
Our requirements:
- Available afternoons/evenings weekdays
- Experience with Behaviour Support.
- Ability to relate to others and effectively communicate with participants, their families and other significant people.
- Thrive to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately when under pressure.
- A good understanding of person-centered active support.
- Punctual and Reliable.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a fully comprehensive vehicle.
- First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months of Employment.
- NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) and Working with Childrens Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain these before employment.
- Nation Police Check within the last 12 months
- Manual Handling, Epilepsy and Medication Training.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience working with adults and children with Autism, Mental Health or physical health Challenges.
