Role Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering personalised support to participants with individualised needs, ensuring their well-being, safety, and independence.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals living with disabilities, while gaining valuable experience in the Disability Support field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to participants in various aspects of daily living, including personal care, mobility assistance, and community engagement.
- Assist participants in following their individualised support plans, promoting their autonomy and quality of life.
- Monitor participants' health and well-being, promptly addressing any concerns or changes in their condition.
- Document support provided and participant progress accurately and comprehensively, following organisational protocols and standards.
- Providing personal and community care. i.e. Medication administration and transportation.
Key Selection Criteria:
Essentials:
- Extensive experience in the provision of supports for people with a disability and mental health.
- Highly developed communication and inter-personal communication skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with the people we support, families, communities, and other professionals.
- NDIS Workers Screening Check.
- Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Working with Children’s Check.
- Tertiary Qualifications relevant to the disability/mental health field.
- Minimum of 2 years qualification and working within the field.
- Experience in the disability/mental health sector.
- Manual Handling experience.
