About the Position
We are seeking a motivated and determined financial professional to join a fast-paced business with ongoing growth potential and a supportive team. As part of our Finance team, the Financial Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and meticulous preparation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. This pivotal role is dedicated to driving shareholder value by achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) through accurate financial reporting and analysis.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity based onsite at our Erskine Park branch and as the Financial Accountant you will form part of the team and assume responsibility for the financial accounting function.
Key responsibilities:
This is a very hands on and transactional role where you would be responsible for:
- Processing various journals
- Monthly accruals and General ledger reviews
- Complete and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Standard costing and system updates
- Wastage and Inventory Reporting / Reconciliations
- Freight Calculations, analysis and reporting
- Preparation of expense management, FBT, BAS, GST returns (desirable but not prerequisite)
- Provide a support function for the team and manage other ad hoc requests.
To be considered for this role, we need from you:
- CA or CPA Accounting Qualification
- 2-3 years' in a similar role as Financial Accountant role
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong time management, ability to prioritise and meet timelines under pressure
- Experience working in a fast paced, deadline focused, high volume role
- Ability to combine strong analytical skills and problem solving skills with business knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Possesses ‘can do attitude’, ability to work in a team, ethics and integrity
- FMCG, Maintenance, Construction, Building materials industry or Multisite background highly regarded
- Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
