Key Responsibilities:
- Assist participants with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support participants in managing their daily tasks and routines at home and in the community.
- Facilitate community and social engagements according to the participants' interests and care plans.
- Provide transportation to appointments, community events, and other activities.
- Assist with meal preparation and dietary management.
- Support the implementation of behavioral management plans and strategies.
- Document and report on participants' progress, maintaining accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic support.
- Adhere to all Goodwill Care policies and procedures, including safety protocols and confidentiality agreements.
Skills and qualifications:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Experience in Disability Support or a similar role.
- A compassionate and patient demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varying needs.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check.
- Valid work rights
