Gold Coast Disability Connect is a leading NDIS provider based on the Gold Coast, specialising in Core Supports and offering In Home and Community Access support to NDIS participants.
We are currently seeking experienced, reliable, and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Gold Coast Region.
Your role and responsibilities include;
- Provide support to individuals with intellectual impairments, mental health, and/or physical disabilities.
- Commit to regular and consistent shift schedules, including day/night, weekends, and Public Holiday shifts.
- Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, communication, and resilience skills.
- Assist with personal care, medication, manual handling, and challenging behaviors.
- Be creative and resourceful in providing high-quality 1:1 support with Daily Living.
- Support physical health and emotional well-being.
- Assist individuals to and from community-based activities and medical appointments.
You'll need the following requirements;
- Minimum Cert III.
- 12+ months experience in a similar role.
- QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Yellow Card - NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate (current).
- Personal Care Assistance experience.
- COVID Vaccinated.
- QLD Driver Licence (unrestricted).
- Reliable transport with full comprehensive car insurance.
- Applicants must have the right to work in Australia, sponsorship not available.
Desirable;
- Manual Handling/transfers experience with certificate.
- Experience in challenging behaviours.
- Medication Assistance & Administration.
