Applicants with experience in working with participants who have high complex needs e.g., and experience with challenging behaviour would be highly desirable.
To be successful in this role, the following would be considered highly desirable:
- Experience with supporting people with Diabetes.
- Experience in working with people with intellectual or other disability and their families.
- Confidence in assisting with behavioural challenges.
- Experience in supporting people with complex health care issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Must be highly organised.
- Have flexibility to work across a day shifts and awake night shifts.
- Must be willing to attend training and open to learning new skills.
- Applicants will be committed to providing quality and professional supports in the participant’s home and in their community. Buddy shifts and training will be available for the right applicant.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and adopt a flexible approach to working methods and time.
- Collaborative ‘can-do’ approach, and proactive problem-solving skills will enable you, the participant, and your team to be successful.
- Ability to encourage others and be a good team player.
Requirements of the role are:
- Driver's license
- Current first aid & CPR certificate
- Blue Card / Yellow Card
