About the role
An opportunity for a Disability Support Worker to join our inclusive team and have a steady and reliable work, potential 10 to 15 hours/week, providing Personal Care and Domestic Assistance to our clients based in Adelaide South (South Plympton to Morphett Vale)
- Personal care - Assisting with toileting using a commode and showering
- Activities of daily living - therapy led activities, hobbies, advocacy
- Domestic Assistance - general tidying, meal preparation
- Duty of Care - Maintain diligence throughout the shift to ensure client is supported when needed.
- Community and Social Access - Transport to and from medical/therapy appointments, advocacy, social access, participation in activities that express personal interests
About you
- Flexible availability across morning, evenings, overnights and weekends.
- Ability to carry out personal care (i.e. showering and toileting assistance).
- An approachable personality that keeps things light and fun, while maintaining a client-centered focus.
- Own car and driver's license.
- First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain).
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to obtain).
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain).
- Working with Children Clearance (or willing to obtain).
- Desired: Manual Handling Certificate
