Morhaven Disability Services provides social, recreational and community participation opportunities for 16–35-year-olds who have mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, autism and mental health conditions. We also provide in-home support to those who need assistance with personal care & home duties.

Qualifications, Experience & Talents
- Experience providing support to individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Working effectively with our community members requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a strong work ethic & be reliable, especially for our longer-term clients.
- A valid driver's license & reliable, appropriate transportation is required.
- First Aid and CPR certification is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, sleepovers, weekends & holidays.
- Possess a compassionate, caring, & supportive nature
- Agile with a strong capacity to adapt to changing environments.
- High levels of energy & enthusiasm
- Empathetic & a good listener
- You could be a university student completing your degree as a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist or Psychologist or something related.
- An attitude of going above & beyond
- An observant personality with a keen eye for detail.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Supporting clients participating in our fabulous and fun social & living skills activities.
- Support clients 1:1 to access the community & participate in social outings.
- Working independently with clients in their homes
- Providing personal care & support where required
- Providing respite & overnight support
- Supporting our members during Holiday Stays/STA/Respite
Our members are looking for mentors who have skills and a passion for things like cooking, fitness, sports, dancing, singing, social media and performing arts!
