Work with one of Australia's leading providers of disability & community support services. We specialise in delivering high level and complex supports to vulnerable people in our community, and pride ourselves on the quality of care we provide.
We are currently recruiting for a specialised and incredibly rewarding role, supporting a client in the Carindale region with Cerebral Palsy.
The job:
- You will be supporting a client living with Cerebral Palsy with complex needs
- Shift duties include personal care assistance, PEG feeding & medications, catheter care & bowel therapy
- The client requires support Monday-Friday between the hours of 6am-6pm (2-8 hour shifts are available) plus overnights and occasional day shifts on weekends
- Full comprehensive training and support will be provided by our in-house clinical team
- We can provide either a casual or permanent position with an ongoing roster - it's your choice!
- Very attractive pay rates available, with the specialised day rate starting from $32/hour for permanent staff & $37.87/hour for casual staff (includes casual loading)
Successful applicants will need to be energetic, resilient and committed. You are not required to have a previous background in this level of complex supports as all training will be provided, however a background working as a Support Worker is essential.
Requirements for the role
- You MUST be reliable and committed to working with our client consistently as these supports are essential
- Overnight availability to be a part of this client's ongoing roster
- A minimum of 6 months paid employment as a Support Worker or similar
- Certificate III or higher in related field is highly desirable
- Current Police Check (or ability to acquire)
- NDIS Worker Screen/Yellow Card (or ability to acquire)
