About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Mental Health Support Workers within our Gold Coast locations. In this role no day will be like the other and you can look forward to variety and rewarding shifts. Working alongside clients with differing support needs you will provide them with the assistance they require to live independently in their own homes.
In a typical day you will perform the following supports:
- Helping with domestic duties, shopping, meal preparation and other housework
- Ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes
- Assisting with activities of daily living and community access
- Mental health and behavioural experience - highly regarded
- Community access out and about in the community
- Adhering to the clients' care/behavioural plans
About you
You are a caring, empathetic individual, with a deep understanding of the importance of providing quality support to clients. You pride yourself on well developed communication and relationship building skills as you know that you are a trusted person in our clients' homes.
Key Selection Criteria
- Ongoing open availability for a mixture of AM, PM and Sleepover shifts with our clients - highly regarded
- Experience in providing excellent customer service
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- A current driver's licence and willingness to use your own insured and reliable vehicle for work purposes
- A current Blue card and NDIS worker screening card or eligibility to obtain at own cost
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house- & manual handling work
- The ability to be flexible and adapt to changes
- A keen eye for detail with a focus on improving client experiences
