What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
- First Aid Certificate/CPR
- Current Police Check (within three years)
- NDIS Worker Screening Card
- Working with Children Card (for youth care roles)
Experience:
- Previous experience in disability and/or aged care
- Understanding of Person-Centred Care
Skills and Attributes:
- Passion & commitment towards Aged and Disability Care
- Willingness to embrace INREACH Supports values
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication (written and verbal)
Your Role:
Daily Care:
- Meet the physical and psychological care needs of our clients
- Support clients with challenging & complex behaviours
- Provide personal care & meal preparation
- Administer medication according to specialist plans
- Support independent living shifts (SIL)
Community Involvement:
- Accompany clients to appointments and community activities
- Apply sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills in all interactions
- Encourage and facilitate clients' participation in social, recreational, and cultural activities
- Help clients explore and engage in new hobbies and interests
- Assist clients in finding volunteer opportunities that match their skills and passions
- Promote physical activity through community sports and fitness programs
- Help clients build and maintain social connections within their community
Special Opportunity: Youth Support Roles
If you have experience working with youth, we have shifts available in this area too!
What We Offer:
- Casual positions with flexible hours, up to 35 hours per week
- 1-2 sleepover shifts per fortnight in our single independent living home
