Breona Residential Services is actively seeking dynamic individuals to join our growing team as Disability Support Workers in Supported Independent Living (SIL) in Orange. With over 25 years of experience, Breona Residential Services is a registered NDIS Provider dedicated to providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities. About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker in SIL, you will play a vital role in enhancing the daily lives of individuals with disabilities, fostering an environment where each customer can thrive and reach their personal goals. We currently have both Casual and permanent part-time positions available. The roles encompass various rotating shifts, offering a competitive hourly rate aligned with the SCHADS Award (2010) - Level 2, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively support residents with all aspects of their lives through person-centred programs.
- Assist residents with daily living and household tasks.
- Support residents in understanding and making informed decisions regarding all aspects of their lives.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation and record-keeping.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Over twelve months of experience working in the Disability Support sector.
- Demonstrated experience and confidence in supporting people with disability who may have behaviours of concern in residential and community settings.
- Knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and Practice Standards.
- A solid background in supporting people with disability to meet their goals and achieve.
- Demonstrated resilience and determination within the workplace.
- The ability to build and manage relationships and work within a team environment.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- The ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to the Disability Service Standards and the ability to promote the rights of people with disabilities.
Essential Criteria Required:
- Certificate III/IV in Disabilities, Individual Support, or equivalent.
- Current Driver’s License and access to own, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current and valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Full vaccination against COVID-19.
- A genuine, reliable, responsible attitude towards shift work.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
