We are currently seeking a passionate, versatile, and dedicated individual to join our team in a casual capacity, offering support to a diverse client group including a 32-year-old male with autism and intellectual disability in Melbourne CBD, and a 6-year-old girl with unique care needs in Keysborough.
Role Overview:
- Position:Disability Support Worker (Casual)
- Locations: Melbourne CBD and Keysborough, Victoria
- Client Profiles:
- Non-verbal, 32-year-old male with autism and intellectual disability
- 6-year-old female with intellectual disability and ADHD
- Shift Types: Community Access (Daytime) and Overnight Support
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and promote independence.
- Facilitate engaging community access activities suitable for both clients, including educational outings and therapy visits for the child, and social activities for the adult.
- Overnight support, including personal care and home cleaning tasks.
- Adapt communication and support strategies to meet the individual needs of each client.

Essential Criteria:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.

Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Disability Support, particularly with complex behaviours and/or supporting children.
- Educational or professional background in related fields (e.g., social work, psychology, education).
- A genuine interest in contributing to the wellbeing and development of individuals with disabilities.
