About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals in your local community. We are looking for candidates that are located in and available to work in Logan Central, Park Ridge, Marsden, Drewvale, Cannon Hill and surrounding local areas. We have casual positions available with flexible hours where you will provide active, person centred support to people with disabilities. We have positions available in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) program. You will be required to provide transportation in your own vehicle, so a valid Australian Drivers Licence and your own registered and insured vehicle is a requirement.
For our SIL program, ideal candidates will be available to work throughout the week with a range of shifts from mornings, days, evenings, active nights & sleepover shifts. You will be providing individualised support with assistance with daily life, personal care, capacity building within the home and community access. Candidates that have prior experience providing this support and experience in managing challenging behaviours are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
- Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families
- Commitment to a 24/7 roster, including sleepover shifts & weekends
Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in Disability and/or previous industry experience will be highly regarded
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Experience in managing challenging behaviours
- Proactive and energetic approach to providing support
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
