About the Client: We are looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker to support a male client in his early 20s who has an intellectual disability and is non-verbal. The role will require support with personal care, some meal preparation, and community access. The client resides in Lara, Victoria. We are looking for a female Support Worker fluent in Filipino(client-specific request), on a long-term casual basis.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Personal Care
- Dressing for the day
- Accompany client with swimming lessons
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Ensuring clients' well-being and safety, especially when out in the community.
Essential requirements:
To be successful in this role you will be required to provide the following;
- Certificate III/IV in Disability/Individual Supports
- Victorian Drivers Licence with reliable car & comprehensive insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- The right to work in Australia
- Current First Aid Practical Training Certificate & CPR
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate or the ability to obtain one
- Proof of Full COVID Vaccination certificate
- Online NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety & You’
- COVID-19 Infection Control training
