About Our Participant -
Our participant lives with his partner, and two dogs. He is a father of four who has a love for cooking and the outdoors. We are currently looking for a Support Worker to assist our client to fulfill his passion for fishing, the outdoors, cooking, and gardening.
This position requires someone who has clear communication skills as the participant suffers with poor hearing and requires someone who can speak loudly, slowly, and clear. Ideally someone who has the same interests as himself and is skilled in these areas or is willing to learn, someone who will be comfortable within this environment and help support our client to achieve his goals.
In this role, we highly value punctuality and reliability, as they are essential qualities that contribute to our client's satisfaction and trust.
Start Date: ASAP, you will be required to meet and greet prior to commencing.
Shift times: 2pm - 7pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on an ongoing weekly roster.
Meet and greet required prior to commencement.
Duties:
- Assistance with domestic tasks
- Support engagement in fishing, cooking and gardening
- Transporting to therapy or medical appointments
Skills and Experiences:
- Experience or interest in fishing
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children's Check
- First aid & CPR
- NDIS Worker orientation module
- NDIS Support effective communication module
- Current Australian driver's license
- Reliable vehicle and CTP insurance
- Cert 3 in disability or equivalent desired
