About the role
We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide in-home care for our child-aged client living in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide.
We welcome those with professional experience caring for children with disabilities who are passionate about working with children and available for regular shifts.
Duties:
- Personal Care
- Assisting with ADL's
- Medication Administration
- Bowel Care Management
- Manual Handling (top and tail and cradle)
- Supporting the client with activities at home
- Skin integrity monitoring (TP tube nasally)
- Aspiration and choking management
- Social support
About you:
- Australian Driver's License and reliable car
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid certification
- Current CPR certification
- Manual Handling certification
- Assist with Medication Certification
- English fluency - verbal and written
In addition:
- Must have sound understanding of the disability industry and providing person-centred support to children
- Must have experience working with child-aged clients
- Passionate about supporting independence and providing in-home support
- Reliable and honest people with the ability to adapt to new environments
- Be available across 7 days a week
