Salary- Are you a fantastic Disability Support Worker?
- Varied shifts, including weekdays, weeknights and weekends
- $42.09 p/h weekdays after induction, plus salary packaging (pay less tax)
We're InLife. A not-for-profit Disability Support provider that specialises in working with people with frequent and complex support needs, including 24/7 assistance.
We build teams around every client, depending on each person's needs and preferences. We partner with people with any type of disability who want to live independently in the community (and we love to make that happen!). That's why our assistants are so important.
Our clients may have physical disability, acquired brain injury, neurological conditions, intellectual disability or autism. We're honoured that many of our clients rely solely on InLife for their essential support needs. Nobody else. Just us.
Our teams are based in Melbourne, Geelong, and regional Victoria, including Benalla, Wangaratta, Stawell, and Bendigo.
To do a great job, you'll need:
- Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives
- Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to our values
- A bubbly and engaging personality, both clients are highly social and love to have a good chat
- To be comfortable supporting clients with pet care, staff need to be comfortable with dogs and cats
- Experience and skills supporting clients who can display Behaviors of Concern (BOC)
- Experience supporting people with a physical disability including transfers/use of equipment and confident in hoisting
- Have great patience and be willing to put in the time and energy to build rapport with clients
- Ability to take initiative and encourage clients to work towards their goals
- Commitment to working with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals. For example, supporting our clients to complete a regular physiotherapy program
- Full drivers licence
As part of our recruitment process, certain checks will be undertaken with your permission, including an NDIS Worker Screening Check that you must have before you can start work.
