Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Chirnside Park, Victoria. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities, particularly those within the adolescence age group who may be dealing with mental health challenges. Your role will primarily focus on facilitating community access and promoting independence among the individuals you support.

4. Accompany individuals during community outings and facilitate their integration into society.

5. Help manage behaviours of concern through effective strategies and techniques.

6. Maintain accurate records of each individual's progress and report any concerns or incidents promptly.

7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in the care of the individuals.

8. Stay updated on current best practices related to Disability Support work.

Qualifications:

- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or degrees are advantageous).

- Prior experience working as a Disability Support Worker is preferred but not required (entry-level applicants welcome).

- Familiarity with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of adolescence development stages and mental health considerations is beneficial.

- Valid driver's license (with access to reliable transportation) is essential.
