We are a dedicated NDIS family-based service for one, established with the primary aim of supporting our beloved son and brother, JD. Our family is committed to creating a warm, supportive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for him, ensuring that all his needs are met with utmost care and attention.
JD is a 28 y/o male who has exemplary manners, a great sense of humour, is a gifted gamer online and offline, and is passionate about animals and growing his community connections. JD gets along well with a Support Worker who has a sense of humour, is organised, enjoys having fun, likes animals, is respectful, patient, and encourages capacity building and problem solving.
About the Role
JD requires your assistance with engaging in the community and building skills for independence, and it is our mission to give JD a well-rounded happy life. We see a great future for him and strive to ensure that his hopes, dreams, and needs come first. All supports and services are generally provided within JD's private residential home in Cordalba and will be responsible for (but not limited to):
· Personal and Self-Care Prompts: Assisting JD with daily routines to promote independence and personal hygiene.
· Engagement and Companionship: Providing JD with meaningful interactions to enhance his social skills and overall well-being.
· Domestic Assistance and Meal Preparation: Proactively managing home maintenance and preparing nutritious meals to ensure a healthy, well-organised living environment for JD.
· Social Activities: Facilitating and participating in various community-based activities to ensure JD remains active and socially engaged.
· Appointment Assistance: Accompanying JD to necessary appointments to ensure he receives the best care possible.
We are hiring multiple positions including Support Workers, a Domestic Assistant and a Team Leader. In your Cover Letter, please highlight which of these particular roles is/are of interest to you.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
· NDIS Worker Screen Check
· First Aid and CPR Certificate
· Valid Driver’s License
· A certificate in disability or similar is desirable, however it is not a requirement for this role
· Experience with supporting people with personal care, health and well-being, active community participation and skill development
· Support choice and control and understand the importance of social inclusion
· Have some administrative experience and good technological skills

We know that there may be some travel required getting to and from JD’s home, we offer negotiable working hours to accommodate the unique schedules of our team members and can tailor start and finish times to work alongside other commitments.
