To be considered for the upcoming positions, you will be required to have the following:
- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support
- At least 1-2 years (paid experience) in this field.
- Full working rights in Australia (no restrictions)
- Working knowledge and a sound understanding of Traumatic Brain Injuries and Spinal Injuries as well as experience working with Quadriplegic participants.
- Current Ochre Card
- Current NDIS Screening Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current NT Driver's License and full access to a car.
- Current National Police Check
- NDIS Orientation Module
What we need you to have:
Due to the complexity of the participants, the successful candidates must have prior experience working with complex care clients - which includes experience with:
- Experience working with cognitive communication impairments.
- Demonstrated ability to transport and assist participants in and out of transportation.
- Experience with assisted transfers - hoisting is ideal but not mandatory.
- Experience with mental health/challenging behaviours
- Clear understanding of restrictive practices - How they are implemented and reported
- Prior experience with mental health/challenging behaviours
