About the Role
Due to continual growth within the Shoalhaven regions, CareSouth are seeking multiple Disability Support Workers to provide individualised support for young people and adults 24 hours day in within a supported home model. The people you will be supporting can exhibit a range of complex behavioural support needs. You will have the support of a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes of people in a proactive environment.
We are looking for individuals who place the person first and are motivated to do what is best for them!
A day in the life of a Support Worker
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be a part of an amazing team which works dynamically across the NDIS and child protection spectrum. A typical day could include:
- Transporting people to and from appointments, school, or programs
- Implementing Behaviour Support strategies
- Fostering independent living skills
- Assisting with household duties
- Mentoring and encouraging the achievement of goals
- Provide a fun and safe environment for the people in our care.
