About the role
The focus of this role is to lead and assume responsibility for Distribution functions for Queensland, comprising Bulk Liquid, Cryospeed, Compressed Cylinders and Healthcare.
Based in our office in Rocklea, QLD the key responsibilities of this role are to oversee our Queensland Distribution operation, to ensure a safe, reliable gas product delivery service, and that the contractual obligations are adhered to by our distribution contractors. You will be responsible for driving effective cost management, performance improvement, and be the interface with the local businesses – Metro, Regional and interstate.
Your success in the role relies on your strong commercial and contract management skills, and your ability to manage stakeholders within and external to the company.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
Overseeing the fulfilment of the business distribution strategy within Queensland
Providing contract management leadership to ensure safety and cost-effectiveness Working closely with all key stakeholders to identify efficiencies to drive change and improvements in the delivery process.
Driving effective contractor management to achieve the best value for Linde.
Preparing the Distribution operating budget within the areas and supporting the annual productivity targets in the Distribution workstream.
Working with the Central Distribution team to execute key strategic initiatives to drive performance improvement.
Ensuring compliance with Linde standards, local regulations and contracted terms & conditions as well as compliance with all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality.
To be successful in this challenging operations role, a candidate must have proven experience and knowledge in transport and logistics operations with the ability to analyse distribution trends and pick up on critical success factors for changes and improvements in the delivery function.
A candidate must be a strong communicator with the capability to liaise with relevant stakeholders as well as negotiate and influence contractors at all levels.
