About your opportunity
Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking an District Coordinator Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Assessment Engagement Service to join them on a Permanent full-time basis commencing asap. This position sits within our Mental Health Service Group.
The position will liaise closely with the Team Leaders to integrate the role of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker within clinical pathways of care and ensure services provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are culturally safe and responsive. You will provide cultural supervision to members of the Cultural Assessment Liaison Team and Mental Health Service Group Clinicians as required.
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
Generous remuneration package value up to $130,275 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $108,174 to $114,180 p.a. (HW8)
Annual leave with 17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements
Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (mandatory) or higher similar qualification relevant to the position may be considered.
This position requires the occupant to travel throughout the Townsville Hospital and Health Service regularly and across the state as required.
This position requires the incumbent to operate a 'C' class motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.
All employees of the Mental Health Service Group (MHSG) may be required to work in other areas of the Service.
This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
