About the role
In this role you will be a dynamic individual that's capable of setting clear priorites and supporting staff to deliver across multiple projects, while also being commited to staff learning and development. You will be highly organised with the ability to coordinate the strategic management of major plant and equipment across the District. The role seeks someone adept at working as a conduit to facilitate engagement between Park Victoria's corporate division, regional operations and District staff.
The District Operations Coordinator operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability in leading the development of District wide operational plans for a range of key park management activity. The role is responsible for, and supported by, two other members of staff. Successful candidates have the opportunity to take on emergency management roles to which training and financial benefits are provided.
We're looking for someone with:
- High level skills in analytical problem solving, decision making and the provision of expert and technical advice and support
- Experience in developing and implementing management and action plans
- Well developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Extensive experience in project and budget management
- Experience in leading and managing team performance
- A tertiary qualification in business or environmental management and/or equivalent experience in similar fields is an advantage
