About the role:
Reporting to the Dive Manager in each location, you will play a pivotal role as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer service and dive experiences for our guests travelling to our outer reef, pontoon and island destinations from Port Douglas and Cairns.
About you:
The successful applicant must have:
- Provide First Aid qualification HLTAID011 (12 months valid)
- Advanced Resuscitation HLTAID015 (12 months valid)
- CPR HLTAID009 (12 months valid)
- PADI Open Water diving instructors certification
- Current PADI membership and insurance
- Current dive medical (12 months valid)
- Experience in the delivery of educational reef interpretive commentary
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to work a 7 day roster
- Multi language skills is highly desirable
- Coxswain qualification desirable
- Minimum of 12 months experience
Key responsibilities:
- Assess all snorkelers to identify which individuals are at risk and provide them with additional advice and visually identifying snorkel equipment as required by Government Regulation
- Direct selling to customers of diving, snorkelling, helmet diving, photography and retail products
- Processing bookings and conducting resort and certified diving and open-water courses, snorkelling, reef education, helmet diving, photography, lookout/lifeguard activities as trained and required
- Enhance the Quicksilver Connections passengers’ experience by delivery of accurate and interesting interpretation of marine life in a well-balanced commentary through guided snorkel tours and presentations
- Deliver a high level of customer service by contacting passengers on the outgoing boat and engaging them in conversation with regards to marine interpretation and the prospect of undertaking a snorkelling or diving tour
- Assisting with or conducting safety demonstrations and attending to passengers' needs and requirements, including seasickness and first aid to the extent of your qualifications
