Based in Townsville, Pacific Marine Group (PMG) is a marine construction contractor at the forefront of the Maritime Industry in Northern Australia and the Pacific Rim with approximately 160 employees working in the main divisions of Marine, Diving and Construction (projects onsite and off-site).

About the role
Due to expanding business opportunities, PMG is looking for a Dive Technician to assist with workshop responsibilities as well as assisting on dive projects and ensuring all dive equipment is available, suitably maintained and fully operational for the planned operations, including, but not limited to:
- Maintenance of commercial diving equipment, including Kirby Morgan diving helmets and support equipment
- Maintenance of Scuba gear
- Maintenance and repairs to Bauer compressors and small engines
- General labouring duties and general duties relating to dive gear preparation and set up
- Ensure the dive department facilities, equipment and work sites are clean and maintained in a safe and tidy manner
- Assist with the mobilization and demobilization of dive projects when required, especially in regard to items requiring repair

About the candidate
The successful candidate will be an individual who values working safely, within a culture focused on achieving a high standard. They would ideally hold:
- A trade background in Mechanical, Electrical or related fields or proven mechanical knowledge/mechanically minded
- Dive maintenance certification such as (Highly desirable):
- Kirby Morgan Maintenance Technician training
- Apex regulators maintenance training
- Current First Aid certificate (Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen provider an advantage).
- Forklift
- High Risk Work License.
Other attributes that would be highly regarded but not essential for the role include:
- Experience working within a commercial diving environment
- Previous dive equipment maintenance experience
Due to the potential work locations and immediate start required, applicants ideally will be based in the Townsville region, or be willing to relocate to Townsville at their own expense.
The successful candidate must have full and current Australian working rights, will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, and may be required to undergo a medical and/or police check.
