About our School

Our Lady of Mt Carmel is a K-6 Catholic Primary School situated in Mt Pritchard (10 mins from the M5 exit). About you

As a Diverse Learning teacher, you will embrace innovation, collaboration and excellence. In this role you will enhance outcomes for students by providing direct and indirect support for those with Diverse Learning needs, and for staff who are teaching students with Diverse Learning needs.

To be successful for this role, you must demonstrate;

• a sound knowledge and commitment to the Church's mission in Catholic education
• an understanding of, and experience in using, the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) Tool
• experience in identification of students with specific learning needs and designing adjustments to learning
• an ability to work in collaborative and supportive relationships with other staff members and the wider community
• quality pastoral care for students and develop strong communication between the school and home
• an understanding of, and experience in, the use of data to inform teaching.

You will have attained:

• a tertiary qualification in Education
• eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
• an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
