SuniTAFE is an award-winning large provider of vocational education and training in north-west Victoria.
The Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator is accountable for the design and delivery of best practice initiatives in the diversity inclusion space, including implementing the Gender Equality Action Plan and the Respect and Equity in TAFE program. This role supports the Head of People & Culture to work across all teams at SuniTAFE to lead an innovative and comprehensive suite of activities to ensure a welcoming, equitable and accessible environment for staff, students and the wider community.
The Coordinator supports collaboration across the organisation in terms of equity and inclusion and work closely with the Head of People and Culture and the rest of the HR Services team to deliver a range of initiatives to enhance staff culture, ultimately resulting in an improved student experience.
Key Selection Criteria
• A related degree, extensive management expertise and supporting experience; or
Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
• Experience in developing and implementing innovative policies and practices in pursuit of continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain exceptional working relationships internally and externally and to communicate effectively on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
• Experience in operating effectively in a complex and political environment and balance a range of priorities and expectations.
• A demonstrated commitment to SuniTAFE Values.
The successful candidate will be required to provide:
• A successful criminal record check which is less than 6 months old; and
• A working with children check.
