Job description

For a client of expertech we are currently looking for a DMS consultant to work on a document management solution based on SharePoint and Microsoft 365. In this role you will be firstly acting in a support capacity, interacting with clients and getting to understand and configure this bespoke DMS platform. Once a good understanding of the platform is created, there is scope to explore new opportunities with clients. Conducting demonstrations of the platform and gathering requirements to propose fitting DMS solutions that suit the needs of the clients and communicating this with the developers and the wider internal team. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who have come from a software developer/software support background, who have excellent communication skills and want to learn and grow into a consultant role.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Scheduling and conducting demonstrations of software solutions.
  • Designing and running product webinars.
  • Communicating our products and services to prospects and clients.
  • Gathering and documenting requirements to provide the best solution to prospects and clients.
  • Assisting prospects with evaluation configuration and deployment of our solutions.
  • Identifying and documenting product enhancements and communicate these to product team.
  • Providing product support to existing customers and partners and escalating issues where required.

Skills & Experience

  • 4 years+ in a software developer/support role.
  • Experience providing functional software demonstrations.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrated experience working with customers, partners and prospects to understand their technical challenges and requirements and to have effectively proposed desired solutions
  • Ability to relay technical information to non-technical customers
  • Strong Microsoft 365 / Office and SharePoint skills.
  • Ability to discuss our services & products with intelligence & confidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new and emerging technologies.
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours when required.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work in a team or autonomously.
  • Experience of document management would be a definite plus.

This is a Hybrid position offers a fair bit of flexibility with some days working from the office and some days working from home. One will be working with global customers, so sometimes work a bit later or earlier in the day may be needed and will be returned with more flexibility throughout the day. As this is a smaller business you will have a direct impact on the (future) state of the Product and you will be exposed to a variety of challenges/tasks.
