An experienced Document Controller is required to join the team working on a large infrastructure project!
Your new company
Our client is a national infrastructure organisation specialising in the design and delivery of light rail, heavy rail, track and station works and civil construction. Due to their current work load and pipeline of projects, an experienced Document Controller is required to join their team on a temporary basis. There is a view for this role to go permanent for the right candidate.
Your new role
As the Document Controller, you will report to the Project Manager and will demonstrate excellent knowledge of document control systems and processes. Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Populate and maintain document registers and request information registers
- Action logs and transmittals, and other project control tools as required
- Analyse, interpret and summarise the status of various registers and logs
- Generate and issue relevant reports including project action, project issues, project status and overdue reports
- Ensure all incoming documentation from external consultants, suppliers and Contractors are compliant with the project document control procedures set by the client
- Monitor, review and filing of all incoming and outgoing documentation
- Ensure appropriate issuance and storage of documentation
- Other general administrative duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will have:
- Previous experience as a Document Controller working on either construction or infrastructure projects
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills - Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A willingness to learn and take on additional administration tasks as required
