Job description

Altaira is seeking experienced aged care Registered Nurses with experience in documentation and/or management skills for block bookings. Bookings range from a few days to two months or more with solid opportunities for ongoing permanent employment. We also have casual shifts available 'on the floor' if desired for the interim periods.

Documentation Specialists: You will be a Registered Nurse with extensive experience with aged care charting, assessments, and care planning. Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation, and attention to detail is essential. You will have good IT skills - familiarity with aged care IT systems is desirable.

Clinical Nurse / Care Manager: You will be a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in aged care at Clinical Nurse or Registered Nurse in Charge level. Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards, Accreditation process, AN-ACC funding, care plans, complaints processes, quality and continuous improvement processes, basic human resource management and clinical governance.

Residential Managers: You will be a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in aged care management. You must be competent and experienced in the following areas: Aged Care Standards, Accreditation process, AN-ACC funding, Complaints processes, Quality and Continuous Improvement processes, Human Resource management, Clinical Governance and Corporate Governance.

Salary Range: $59 to $109. This is based on the following hourly rates:
CN $59, CM $70, Residential Manager $109.

Essential:

  • National Police Clearance - aged care specific
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR
  • Current registration with no conditions with AHPRA
  • Desire to work with the elderly to improve their outcomes
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
