About Darlo Dogs
We're a small Dog Daycare located in Darlinghurst. Our services also include grooming and we sell a range of natural treats and food. Our customer service is second to none and we treat every dog like our own. We pride ourselves on creating a safe and fun environment for small breed puppies and dogs to learn essential social skills, build confidence. We've built such amazing relationships with our dog paw-rents that they continue to visit us weekly for years.

The role
- Supervise groups of dogs, knowing dog behaviour to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- Daily Photography and video creation of social media content for our doggie parents. This is essential!
- Providing enrichment and exposure activities on a daily basis
- Perform temperament assessments
- Frequent cleaning of the facility
- Building and maintaining the relationships we have with our wonderful pet parents
- Daily administration duties such as answering phones, record keeping and processing of payments
- Communicate relevant daily information to your team
- You will have the opportunity to learn every aspect of the business with the expectation that you can see the state of play and jump in and help where needed
The basic minimum requirements
- MUST HAVE professional experience or qualifications working with dogs (this does not include caring for your dog at home I'm afraid)
- Fit and able to move quickly and handle groups of dogs
- Able to work a variety of shifts in a high-pressure environment and be on your feet for long periods of time.
- A strong desire to learn
- Must be available Monday to Friday and be able to work a flexible schedule - The opening shift begins at 7am and the closing ends at 6pm
- To be the right fit for our team you must be reliable and have a good work ethic
- Available to attend an unpaid 1-hour work trial shift

Position
- Casual position, leading to a permanent part time position for the right applicant
- 20-30 hours per week
- Ideally be flexible and available to cover sick leave/annual leave
- Salary will be based on relevant qualifications and position. Further information will be discussed during the interview process

Further details:
- We pay over award starting $29 per hour and potential increase after a 3 months probation to $32.50 per hour
- Shifts are 7am-12pm and 1pm-6pm
