About your new doggy daycare attendant job
You will join our hard-working and dog obsessed team, supervising and managing daily groups of dogs in a controlled and safe daycare environment.
The job will be casual, with 10-15 hours each week, potentially with more hours added.
On our list of 'must haves' for our day care attendants:
- Dog handling experience: Experience handling, and working with, groups of dogs, with experience in positive dog training techniques and/or previous experience in a dog day care (or similar) environment.
- Qualifications: At least a certificate level qualification in animal handling, companion animals or similar.
- Flexibility: You will need to be available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
What else are we looking for?
You will also need to be:
- A customer service star: A passion for delivering above and beyond in customer service. All of our staff deal directly with our wonderful customers so you will need to represent our brand with enthusiasm and professionalism. You must also have strong computer, email and phone skills.
- Fun: Able to work in a close small team environment. Working with dogs is exhausting but so rewarding and it's important that our staff can work in well with each other and have fun along the way.
- Good communicator: Very personable and a good communicator with a mature approach.
- Caring: Kind, compassionate and patient with all dogs. You must know how to manage large groups of dogs in a controlled but calm way.
- A clean freak: Our customers give us a gold star for cleanliness and you will need to be maintain these standards throughout the day.

Key requirements for the role
This job is about more than just loving dogs. You must have experience working in a dog day care, pet boarding or dog walking business, and an animal related qualification.
We'll want you to be professionally presented, responsible and be able to represent the Centennial Bark brand with fun and energy. You will also need to be team-minded to work in with our existing team.
You MUST have working rights in Australia (either by residency or citizenship) – we will not be in a position to provide visa sponsorship.
We would prefer that you also have a pet first aid qualification or certificate.
