Dog Walker – Pack Leader

We need to a pack leader to join our dog walking team.

Role Description:

· Transport dogs in our air-con van between their homes and the East's beautiful dog parks 

· Exercise - social groups (of up to 4), lead their adventures

· Supervise - engage with and actively monitor the dogs in your care

· Practice basic dog training and manners with only positive, gentle, reward-based training methods

· Evaluate situations, problem solve and keep you and the dogs in your care safe

· Clean up dog waste, follow council guidelines and NSW Legislation

· Take photos of daily dog adventures

· Communicate daily activities back to HQ

· 20-25 hours per week five days from Monday to Friday

What skills and attributes should you have?

· Experience handling dogs and confidence with all sizes, ages and breeds

· The ability to drive and work independently in a physically active role

· Good time management - ability to manage your time to meet appointments

· You must be confident and competent to drive and walk in a variety of weather and traffic conditions

· Excellent communication skills in-person, via text and over the phone

· An understanding and respect for council guidelines and state law 

· Skills / Qualifications in dog behaviour and training preferred, but not essential

· The availability to work 20-25 hours per week five days from Monday to Friday 

· Opportunity for extra work and pet sitting on weekends and public holidays

· Confident driver with good navigation and parking skills is of the utmost importance

· Local knowledge is also helpful. 

You Will Need:

· A current NSW drivers licence. 

· A current police check (at own cost)

· An ABN number

· Excellent driving, parking and navigation skills. A driving test will be required

· Great communication skills - with clients (human and dogs) 

· A smartphone with data capable of taking photos 

· A relaxed and positive demeanour

· Confidence

· To physically handle the walking, manage dogs (including lifting dogs into a car when needed)

· To work outside in all weather

· A positive attitude and love of dogs
