About Doorways Program The Salvation Army Doorways program provides person-centred care to community members who are in financial crisis or suffering other forms of hardship or distress. Our practitioners are mindful of trauma informed practices, working within a strength-based context with holistic principles to build individual capacity, resilience, and well-being.

About the role As a Doorways receptionist, you will deliver high quality customer-focused reception and administrative activities for TSA. As the first point of contact, it is essential to act professionally and create a welcoming, warm and positive first impression for all guests and visitors.

Responsibilities include Undertake reception duties to support day-to-day requirements of the area including answering phones, basic data entry and referring queries to appropriate contacts Emergency relief Eftpos card collection Provide exceptional customer service Provide assistance to the site manager and site coordinator Provide maintenance and security of record keeping systems and software Assist in administrative functions for meetings and events Provide information to clients and visitors ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a confidential and sensitive manner This is a fixed-term part-time position, contracted until June 2024, 20 hours per week, based in Glenorchy, TAS. What you will have A minimum of a certificate IV in Community Services would be desirable, or a willingness to complete Understanding of those who are most marginalised and vulnerable in our community, and how to communicate with this group, as well as a broad range of people who present either by telephone or face-to-face Excellent computer skills, experience in using Microsoft Office, Online Information Systems, and general office equipment Ability to work under pressure and to manage those who may present with challenging and/or difficult behaviours Demonstrated experience working in an administrative and/or reception role within a similar environment Demonstrated experience with the use of IT applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel Benefits you will enjoy at
