AddressDileigh Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd (Dileigh) are seeking an experienced AutoCAD draftsperson or civil designer on a full time basis to assist our design section, predominantly with subdivision design and documentation.
Dileigh is a civil and structural engineering consultancy which also provides a wide range of technical-based engineering support for civil and structural construction contractors and local government authorities.
Our area of expertise is in the civil and structural construction industry, providing a complete range of services and solutions for all stages of the project life-cycle from planning, conceptualisation detailed design and documentation.
The successful applicant should have experience in:-
- Subdivision design and documentation (roads, stormwater, sewer, water)
- Liaison with local government and service authorities
- Project co-ordination and delivery
- Autodesk Civil3D design package or similar civil design/drafting software
- Civil Site Design
- Site inspections
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-
- Provide plans and documentation for development applications, tenders, and construction.
- Liaising and co-ordination with all relevant stakeholders including architects, engineers, planners and contractors
- Identify cost effective and practical solutions to design variations
- Prepare final drawings and documentation for the client
- Ensure that all works undertaken are in accordance with appropriate professional and technical standards and practices
Selection Criteria
To be considered for this role candidates must be able to meet the following criteria
- Have at least 3 years' design/drafting experience working for a civil design consultancy or a government agency in a similar role.
- Ability to work in a close team environment.
- A strong understanding of AutoCAD Civil3D, or the high proficiency in a similar product and the ability to transfer those skills to AutoCAD Civil3D.
- A sound knowledge of civil drafting and documentation for development assessment and construction
- Strong communication skills to co-ordinate with the client. assessment authorities, contractors, and other design disciplines
- Good Windows based computer skills and proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Proven skills in defining, prioritising, organising, and completing tasks to meet deadlines
- An excellent eye for detail
- A friendly amiable personality and polite professional manner.
The following qualities are not essential, but it would be desirable to have:-
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Diploma or better), or the ability and desire to attain one.
Remuneration:-
Remuneration will be based on individuals experience and negotiated with successful applicant.
