AddressOur client is a leading Sydney-based Commercial Property improvement solutions specialist. They seek a talented, experienced Draftsperson-Estimator, to create detailed technical drawings, prepare accurate project cost estimates, and collaborate closely with our project management team to ensure the successful completion of industrial warehouse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed and accurate 3D and 2D drawings using AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, MS Visio, and Dtools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in preparing project cost estimates and proposals by analyzing project specifications and requirements, and staying informed about industry trends and material costs.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to understand project goals and requirements, and translate conceptual designs into technical drawings.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for drawings and estimations, participating in project meetings and providing technical support as needed.
- Meet with clients to discuss the project throughout all stages, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Conduct regular reviews of drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications, assisting in the identification and resolution of design and estimation issues to maintain project timelines.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Previous estimating experience of 5 years within the building and construction industry, particularly in industrial warehouse projects, is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the Commercial Building Code, and Australian and industrial warehouse standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Visio, and Dtools; strong analytical skills; exceptional attention to detail; excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
