2 X Drill & Blast Technical Support
Roster: 8D:6R FIFO ex Perth
Goldfields Explosives is seeking enthusiastic experienced Drill & Blast Technical Support (Specialist) to join the team at Goldfields Explosives. The successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate behaviour that aligns with Goldfields Explosives values, comply with safety and health principles reporting to our Technical Support Manager.
Reporting to the Technical Support Manger, in this role you will provide Support, training, advice and recommendations to our clients for use of Goldfields Explosives products & technology offerings.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Carry out work as directed by Technical Support Manager
- Provide on bench support to client & company teams
- Provide technical training in initiating systems and technology/CI improvement project rollouts
- Be the first point of contact on site when there are technical challenges
- Company Champion for V.O.D Testing, Hole deviation analysis, Wipfrag analysis and upgrade to equipment
- Audit customer & company D&B operations including skills and procedures
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment
Qualifications and skills required:
- National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
- Shotfirer Ticket - Essential
- Unrestricted (Near town) Shotfirers license
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) - Essential
- Proven Technical experience in a mining, Quarry & civil in strong driven environment
- Strong customer focus
- Experience delivering both on bench and classroom based training
- Electronic detonator / initiation systems experience
- Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency
- High Level communication and interpersonal skills
